We have joined the UNESCO ASPnet since 2011.
The ASPnet (UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network) work in support of peace and international cooperation to achieve the ideals set forth in the UNESCO Charter.
As of June 2015, more than 9,000 educational institutions in 180 member states are participating in the ASPnet. Of these there are 939 pre-schools, elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools and teacher training colleges and universities from Japan. The Japanese government provides support for various activities designed to promote ESD (Education for Sustainable Development), primarily at UNESCO Associated schools. Utilizing this global network, UNESCO Associated Schools engage in exchanges between students and teachers at schools around the world to share information and experiences. The aim is to develop and refine new educational content and methods to prepare young people to deal with various global issues.
