　新型コロナウイルスの感染はおさまる気配はありませんが、学校教育活動は感染防止対策をして継続いたします。新型コロナウイルスの変異株「オミクロン」株の変異が気になるところですが、気になるといえば、海の向こうカリフォルニア州にあるBorel（写真１）の皆さんとのボレル会議（写真２）です。さて、ボレル校に2月末にペンパルカードと一緒におひな様を送りました（写真３）。そんな中ボレル時間３月３日（木）午後4:00過ぎ、九中時間４日（金）午前8:00過ぎ 、通算第６０回目のネット会議を校長室（左下写真）でおこないました。第60回Borelネット会議

　校長室 　4/３/2022 　年度末は忙しい。ペンパル会議の参加者はいつもより少なかったが少数精鋭で年度末を締めくくる。だが、ボレルは年度末ではなかった。九中の卒業式は３月15日（火）だと伝えるとボレル、「Congratulation！Borel school has 4 quarters. This month is the last semester and the Graduation ceremony falls on 10 June.（ おめでとう！うちは４学期制で今月が最後の学期です。６月１０日に卒業式があります」。その頃には、九中新１年生がペンパルに仲間入りするかもしれない。何気ない会話から日米友好を育てる（写真３）。

BOREL(English）４/3/2022  Today, we had the Zoom meeting with Borel school. The pen pal students from 9chu joined the meeting. Borel students joined the meeting from their home. At first, they introduced each other. 9chu asked Borel “What do you like about your school?” “Drama programs, a Music Hall and the Music program and so on. Teachers are helpful, I like the school as I can spend a lot of time with Friends” 9chu asked “What is your favorite day of the week? “Friday, Saturday and Sunday” 9chu asked “What is your favorite features?” Teacher Helen said” My Blond hair” Borel students answered “Blue eyes, hair, strong arms and so on”
Borel asked “What is your favorite sport team in Japan?” “Famous Curling team called Loco Solare” 9chu answered “I like Basket Ball Player Curry from Golden State worriers. I like San Francisco Giants” Helen teacher asked “Please explain about the Girls day in Japan yesterday?” We showed a picture of the Hina Dolls and said we displayed Japanese traditional dolls on the Girls day. “Wow so beautiful!”

　ボレル校とズーム会議をした。九中からはペンパルが参加しボレル生は自宅からの参加となった。自己紹介をして質問をおこなう。九中：「学校の好きなところは？」Borel:「劇のプログラム、音楽ホール、音楽のプログラムなどです。先生がよく面倒をみてくれるところ。学校はたくさんの友達と過ごせるところ」九中：「好きな曜日は？」Borel：「金曜日、土曜日、日曜日」九：「自分のチャームポイントはなんですか？」Borel先生：「ブロンドの髪！」Borel：「青い目、髪、強い腕！」　B：「日本の好きなスポーツチームは？」九：「有名なカーリングのチーム，ラコソアーレ」B:「ゴールデンステイトウォリアーズのバスケット選手カリーが好きです。野球チームのサンフランシスコジャイアンツが好きです」B：「昨日のひな祭りについて教えて下さい」九：「お雛様の写真を見せました。日本の伝統的な人形を飾ります。」B:「きれい！」チャイムが鳴った。
