Dai-Ni Junior High School has joined the UNESCO Associated Schools Projects in 2012. Founded in 1953, the UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network (ASP net), commonly referred to as UNESCO Associated Schools, is a global network of more than 9000 educational institutions in 180 countries. Of these there are 328 pre-schools, elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools and teacher training colleges and universities in Japan. We are now in the Friendship Schools relationships with two of UNESCO Schools; Kesennuma Municipal Matsuiwa Junior High School and Kaiapoi Borough School in NZ, and promote collaborative learning programs with each of them.
